Dementia News & Events

2007 -Australia's Dementia Awareness Month (DAM) runs from September 17^th to October 17^th and is Alzheimer's Australia's national community education campaign.

Guest speaker during DAM will be Professor Kenneth Rockwood from Dalhousie University in Canada who has pioneered the person-centered model in the care and treatment of people with dementia.  Art and dementia is a particular focus of his work and he has established artist in residence programs in dementia units with great success.
