Eating (problems with) | Stage

This is usually a late sign of the disease. In people who have dementias such as Lewy body dementia, or dementia with Parkinson's disease (or related disorders, such as Multiple Systems Atrophy ) swallowing difficulties can occur early in the course of the illness. Under that circumstance, a person will have problems eating early in dementia, but it is not typical in Alzheimer's disease .
