Eating (problems with) | Stage

This is usually a late sign of the disease. In people who have dementias such as Lewy body dementia, or dementia with Parkinson's disease (or related disorders, such as Multiple Systems Atrophy ), swallowing difficulties can occur early in the course of the illness. Under that circumstance, a person will have problems eating early in dementia, but it is not typical in Alzheimer's disease .
