Driving | What's Happening in the Brain

Driving is a very high order function. This means that it requires the integration of many other brain activities - such as judgment, initiative, awareness of the environment, ability to carry out a complex sequence of motor activities - to be performed properly. As a consequence, it is commonly affected in Alzheimer's disease , as each of these brain functions becomes impaired.
