Interaction With Strangers | Stage

Sometimes, problems interacting with strangers are seen in mild dementia, as the person with dementia is aware of their problems and becomes more withdrawn. More typically in Alzheimer's disease , however, problems in interactions with strangers are seen in moderate dementia, and become worse as the dementia progresses. In some people with vascular dementia, however, and in many with Frontotemporal dementia or subtypes of Frontotemporal dementia (i.e. Pick's disease ), problems in interacting with strangers can be a very early sign of the illness.
