Unsafe Actions | What's Happening in the Brain

Apart from lack of safety that comes about due to poor memory (e.g. forgetting to turn off the bath tap, and overflowing the bath, forgetting to lock the door when going out) or poor visuospatial function (accidentally cutting one's self with a kitchen knife) unsafe actions reflect failures of judgment. Impaired judgment arises when the very front parts of the brain (the 'prefrontal cortex ') are affected.
